Concept

The concept of this apartment was based on classic solutions. A good interior design project does not always require creativity and unconventional solutions. Sometimes, it is enough to immerse oneself in the style and ambiance.

I designed this interior with great pleasure. The clients were aligned on the direction in which the style and color palette should go. My role was to bring everything together and ensure consistency, functionality, and harmony.

For the presentation of this project, I prepared drawings and sketches instead of visualizations.

A bright, monochromatic interior with many details was better showcased in this form.

Furniture and Lighting

The furniture, lighting, fabrics, paintings, and decorations were all maintained in a classic style. This interior was not about breaking the classic style with modernity but rather about consistently following a set direction.

A Touch of Boldness

At first glance, nothing particularly stands out, but the mirrors opposite the kitchen initially seemed like a rather risky choice. I strongly insisted on this idea because the kitchen, being far from the windows, lacked good natural light, and the limited space did not provide a comfortable feeling.

I managed to convince the clients to install a large mirror pane with classic muntins, and this small touch of boldness brought life to the space.

Detail

Detailing in a classic style is key. Moldings, carvings, cornices, and paneling were all carefully refined.

For the arrangement, we used fresh, fragrant flowers, candles, lanterns, and art books. Kitchen appliances, kept in the same style and color scheme as the interior, do not disrupt its harmony.

Attention to every visible and frequently used object is just as important as selecting paintings or lighting. A kettle left in sight, a water jug, or a tablecloth can either enhance the charm or ruin the entire effect.

That’s why, during discussions about the clients’ expectations, we always talk about their daily rituals and frequently used items. There’s no point in hiding the fact that we cook using a Thermomix. It’s better to find a convenient place for it—one that is accessible but not the focal point.
